Mont Saint-Michel Bay offers an ever-changing spectacle. Twice a day, the mussels clinging to their stakes emerge from the waves and age-old fish snares hold back the fish trapped by the ebb of the sea. Flocks of sheeps graze on the surrounding salt marshes…

Like giant crustaceans, the amphibious craft belonging to the mussel and oyster farmers weave this way and that across the Bay, in search of the "crop".

Footpaths, high-banked lanes, and narrow roads form a criss-cross pattern through the countryside around Dol, taking visitors on foot, horseback or bike through a multitude of superb beauty spots.

The maritime climate in the area around Dol and Mont Saint-Michel Bay brings pleasant temperatures and wonderfully differing skies that change with the seasons, the time of day and the tides.

In the district of Sougeal, ypu will find a marsh and ornithlogical observatory where you can discover the wildlife, migratory birds such as storks and the famous domestic geese. A traditional annual feast is held in July.
