Time for fun

The towns and villages on the shores of the Bay uphold such reputed traditions as the " Mussel Festival " and the " Blessingof the Sheep ".

In Dol , music has pride of place. There is music of all kinds during the music festival , from Breton tunes at the folk festival to sacred works in the cathedral .

Sports events are hosted here on an annual basis and the sandyachting championships, Bay marathon, and frenc trial bike championships have all given rise to events of national and international importance.

In addition to all these festivities, there is a historic reconstitution in Dol called " Walls of Light " (Remparts de Lumières) which highlights certain periods of the history of Dol de Bretagne and several features of its outstanding heritage.

Finally, there is another chance to enjoy yourself at the busting weekly market. People are friendly and you can find local produce to suit all tastes.
